It is primarily insectivorous , and catch insects by jumping over , from one branch to another. He sometimes hunt birds , their eggs and snakes. Gestation lasts about six months and resulted in the birth of a single child.

The Chocolate Hills are a famous tourist attraction of Bohol .

They are presented in the provincial flag and seal the seal to symbolize the abundance of natural attractions in the province.

They are in the list of tourist destinations of Philippine Tourism Authority , were declared third National Geological Monument of the country and proposed for inclusion on the World Heritage List of UNESCO.

The Chocolate Hills, in the center of the island, are probably the most famous tourist attraction in Bohol . They look like giant mole hills , or as some say , women's breasts , and remind us of the hills in the design of a small child. The Chocolate Hills consist of no less than 1268 hills ( some claim this to be the exact number ) . They are very uniform in shape and mostly between 30 and 50 meters high. They are covered with grass, which, at the end of the dry season, turns chocolate brown.

This is the color the hills derive their name . At other times , the hills are green.

Legend has it that the hills came into existence when two giants threw stones and sand at each other in a fight that lasted for days. When they were finally exhausted, they made friends and left the island , but behind the mess they made. For the more romantic is the story Arogo 's , a young and very strong giant who fell in love with an ordinary mortal girl called Aloya . After his death , the giant Arogo wept bitterly. His tears then turned into hills, as a lasting proof of his grief .

However, to this day , even geologists have not reached consensus on how they are formed. The most commonly accepted theory is that it is the altered formations of a kind of marine limestone on top of a impermeable layer of clay .

the hills can be visited in Sagbayan City  in the west of the hills.

Also in Carmen City, in the east of the hills you can climb the 214 steps to the top of an observation point ...
