Le doubs and its region

Located between the Vosges and the Jura, the Doubs, which is part of the region of Franche-Comté, is on the road that connects the French capital Paris to Germany, Switzerland and Italy . The name of the Doubs is also attributed to a river. Doubs is a center of international excellence in mechanical (automotive and high-speed train TGV), biomedical engineering, and high precision cutting. Cross-border relations with the Swiss also contribute to the economic success of the region.
